These terms govern your use of NodeZ. By subscribing to or using NodeZ, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Notice and Refund Policy.
1. Who we are
NodeZ ("we", "us", "our") is an independent software product operated from Germany. You can reach us at contact@node-z.com.
NodeZ is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bohemia Interactive a.s. DayZ is a trademark of Bohemia Interactive a.s.
2. What NodeZ is
NodeZ is a Windows desktop application that lets you build DayZ mods by connecting nodes on a canvas. It generates Enforce Script from your node graph and can pack it into a mod. Using NodeZ requires an active subscription and periodic online license validation.
3. Subscription and billing
- NodeZ costs 29.99 USD per month and renews automatically until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by PayPal. NodeZ is the seller of your subscription; PayPal handles the payment transaction only. PayPal's own terms apply to your use of PayPal.
- You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We may change the price. Any change applies from your next billing period, and we will tell you in advance.
- If a payment fails, your license may stop validating until the payment is resolved.
- Activating your license key ends the refund window. Before activation you can request a full refund within 14 days. After activation the subscription is not refundable, because the code NodeZ generates for you is yours permanently and keeps working even after your subscription ends. See the Refund Policy.
4. Your license to use NodeZ
While your subscription is active, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use NodeZ for personal or commercial mod development, subject to these terms.
- Your license activates on one device at a time. You can release a device from the customer portal and activate another.
- Your license key is personal to you. Do not share, publish, resell, sublicense, or rent it.
- NodeZ is licensed to you, not sold. We retain all rights in the software itself.
- We may suspend or revoke a license key that is being shared or used in breach of these terms.
5. What you create is yours
The mods, scripts, layouts, and other output you produce with NodeZ belong to you. We claim no ownership of your projects or of the code NodeZ generates for you, and you do not owe us any royalty for shipping them.
You are responsible for what you build and distribute, including making sure it complies with Bohemia Interactive's terms, the rules of any server you deploy to, and the licenses of any third-party mods or assets you reference.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble NodeZ, except where that right cannot be restricted by law;
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with license validation;
- redistribute, resell, or make NodeZ itself available to others;
- share your license key or let others use your activation;
- use NodeZ to create anything unlawful, or to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any system.
7. Availability and changes to the service
- NodeZ validates your license online. If our server is briefly unreachable, an offline grace period keeps you working, but NodeZ is not designed for indefinite offline use.
- We do not promise any specific uptime. We may need to interrupt the service for maintenance.
- We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will not remove something central to the product without notice where we can reasonably avoid it.
8. Termination
You can cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, and we will normally tell you why first unless it is unlawful or impractical to do so.
When your subscription ends, NodeZ stops validating and you can no longer use the editor. Mods you already generated remain yours and keep working, because they are ordinary Enforce Script with no dependency on NodeZ.
9. Disclaimers
NodeZ is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the generated code will be error free or suitable for every server configuration. You are responsible for testing what you build before you deploy it.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with NodeZ is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect. Details of cancellation and refunds are in our Refund Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will announce it on this site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use NodeZ after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
